My name is Dilan. My journey with movement began in childhood through gymnastics, where I first discovered the joy of challenging my body while having fun. From an early age, I was drawn to practices that cultivate strength, curiosity, and a deeper connection with the body.
At 17, I was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS). I was prescribed birth control without much guidance on how nutrition, lifestyle, and movement could support the condition. After experiencing anxiety, depression, mood swings, and weight gain as side effects of the medication, I began searching for answers beyond what I had been told and started researching how nutrition, lifestyle, and movement could better support my body.
I immersed myself in learning how diet, exercise, and mindful practices can support hormonal balance and overall wellbeing. Through this process, I began transforming my relationship with movement and nutrition. Yoga became a powerful part of my healing journey, helping me reconnect with my body both physically and mentally. The impact it had on my life inspired me to become a teacher so I could support others who may feel lost, overwhelmed, or disconnected from their bodies.
Alongside yoga, I developed a deep love for Reformer Pilates. What I appreciate most about the reformer is its versatility. With a single piece of equipment, there are endless possibilities for movement. The resistance springs create a highly effective full-body workout that builds strength, improves posture, and challenges the body in a supportive, low-impact way.
I am also a surfer, a practice that continually reminds me of patience and humility. Surfing is one of the slowest-progressing sports I have practiced, yet it teaches presence, resilience, and respect for nature in a way that no studio practice can.
Between my Yoga and Reformer Pilates teacher trainings, I studied Kinesiology at LBCC, where I developed a strong foundation in anatomy, movement principles, and the science of how the body moves and adapts.
In 2022, I founded Peace For All Collective with the intention of making wellness accessible for everyBODY. The collective focuses on prioritizing equity, celebrating diversity, and creating community-centered care within wellness spaces, especially for QTBIPOC communities. Over the past four years, we have organized and taught more than 100 classes and workshops, reaching over 2,000 community members.
My teaching is clear, intentional, and focused on helping people feel their best physically, mentally, and emotionally. Alongside teaching yoga and reformer pilates, I am also a certified trauma-informed breathwork and meditation facilitator and my approach is somatic, integrating principles from the Feldenkrais and Franklin Methods of movement to support deeper awareness and functional strength. I have worked with universities, organizations, businesses, and private clients, supporting individuals in moving with greater confidence, ease, and awareness.
At the heart of my work is a simple belief: movement is not only about fitness, it is a powerful tool for healing, self-understanding, and living with greater awareness.
